The Retail Controller is a key role responsible for managing and monitoring retail operations, security systems, and administrative support tools to ensure the smooth functioning of the store environment. You will act as the central point of coordination, utilising technical systems and communication platforms to enhance operational efficiency and security. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Oversight:Protection of life and property. Monitor and manage store operations through various tools such as access control, ticketing systems, and CCTV.Oversee the execution of security protocols and ensure adherence to Synergy Security Solutions policies.Coordinate with store detectives, security officers, and retail staff to address security concerns.System Management:Use Workspace applications (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Excel) to maintain records, prepare reports, and facilitate communication.Administer access control systems and ensure permissions are updated and secure.Operate and maintain CCTV systems, including the retrieval and review of footage for investigations or audits.Utilise ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.Incident Management:Act as the central communication point during security incidents, emergencies, or operational disruptions.Coordinate with external agencies such as Gardaí, emergency services, and third-party vendors when required.Document and report all incidents, escalating critical issues to management.Team Support:Provide real-time support to retail staff and management regarding operational and security concerns.Train and assist team members in the use of technical tools and systems.Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance operational workflows.Administrative Duties:Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, security metrics, and operational efficiency.Maintain accurate documentation of access logs, incident reports, and system updates.Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations in handling sensitive data.Skills and Qualifications: The following technical, interpersonal and management skills and attributes are essential for this role, but are not limited to:Technical Skills:Proficiency in Workspace applications: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Excel.Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV systems, and ticketing systems.Strong IT literacy and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software.Experience:Prior experience in retail operations, security, or administrative coordination is advantageous.Experience with security systems and loss prevention strategies is highly desirable.Skills and Competencies:Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.Ability to conduct a shift-based roster schedule, along with availability for both weekdays & weekends shift scheduleQualifications:A valid Private Security Authority (PSA) license (essential).Basic Guarding Skills - QQI Level 4Minimum 6 months industry experienceValid work permit / visa (If applicable)Required Communication Skills:Effective communication skills,English level B2 (Oral & Written)Benefits;Sponsored membership to industry associationsOpportunity to grow and develop your skillsEmployee Assistance ProgramClear progression plans / opportunitiesExternally certified training (QQI & Above)Flexible working schedulesWeekly salary paymentEmployee recognition schemeRefer a friend schemeBike to work schemeSavings scheme
