Job Title: Support Assistant
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an undergraduate university student to assist in providing an efficient and effective service to Firm Partners and offices in opening new and existing client registrations and matters. This includes providing guidance to Partners to ensure compliance with ethical and legal duties, avoiding conflicts of interest, and meeting professional responsibility obligations.

Responsibilities:
* Provide support to the Firm, its Partners, and offices regarding the New Business Intake process.
* Diligently review new client and matter information submitted via the Firm's intake system, identifying possible conflicts of interest and verifying Standard Terms of Engagement.
* Conduct online investigations using various databases to identify high-risk clients and communicate findings to NBI Management and the Risk and Compliance team.
* Making sound decisions regarding conflicts of interest and clearance through liaison with Firm Partners and office.
* Review Engagement or Assignment Letters for compliance with Firm and departmental guidelines.
* Collaborate with team members on best practices, continuous improvement, and departmental processes.
Essential Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* An undergraduate degree and a 2.1 grade or above (We will determine your eligibility based on your last completed year of academic study).
* Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and online research tools.
* Able to make effective decisions, judgments, and recommendations with support from team members and Management.
* Professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills, and positive customer service attitude.
* Good time management, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
* Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
* Flexibility to work a reasonable shifting schedule.
