The Role in Brief:
As an IT Support Analyst, you’ll be the go-to person for technical support across three local sites within a 3km radius in Kilkenny. You’ll gain hands-on experience working at the intersection of healthcare and technology, troubleshooting IT issues, maintaining systems, and assisting with innovative IT projects.
Given the multi-site nature of this position, a full driving license is mandatory, and own transport is highly desirable. Travel expenses for site visits will be reimbursed, making this role both accessible and rewarding.
This is a full-time, onsite position (39 hours/week, Monday to Friday), with participation in a rotational on-call schedule to ensure the smooth operation of essential services.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide IT support to end users across three local sites.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (hardware, software, and network).
* Manage user administration tasks such as account setup and password resets.
* Administer and support in-house applications.
* Monitor and escalate issues with daily backups and vulnerabilities.
* Troubleshoot printers and liaise with third-party suppliers.
* Assist with IT security directives and GDPR compliance.
* Support IT project initiatives and basic network troubleshooting.
* Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2/3 or vendor support as needed.
* Maintain detailed documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 1/Technical Support role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems (Windows 10, MS Office) and basic PC hardware configuration.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with network protocols and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
* Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticket management systems.
* Full driving license is mandatory.
* Fluent in English and eligible to work in Ireland.
Desirable: Experience in a healthcare setting, Microsoft certifications, and ITIL Foundations certification.
