Through school workshops, online articles and videos, and our nationally recognised SHINE Festival, we've reached thousands of girls directly and 300,000 girls monthly online. We are building a movement of empowered young women and are seeking a passionate Marketing Executive to help drive our mission forward.About the role:The Social Media & Marketing executive will work closely with the Community Manager and CEO to deepen the relationship between The Shona Project and its online community by creating powerful, meaningful, and supportive content that will be published across the organisation’s growing online community. Along with this, the Marketing Executive will use their experience and knowledge to raise brand awareness amongst the girls and their ecosystem, along with playing a part in positioning The Shona Project as the voice of the girls of Ireland.This is a passion-driven role, which will provide an excellent opportunity to let your creativity flow and contribute to ensuring the next generation of Irish women feel empowered and supported to achieve their potential.Job Title: Social Media & Marketing ExecutiveLocation: Hybrid, with occasional attendance in the Waterford office and other national locations as requiredEmployment Type: Full-TimeContract: 12 MonthsReports To: Community ManagerSalary: €35,000 - €38,000 depending on skills and experienceKey Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Build on and strengthen existing marketing plans to promote The Shona Project's mission and programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.Content Creation and Management: Produce engaging content for various channels, including social media, website, email newsletters, and press releases. This includes creating visually appealing graphics and videos that align with the organisation’s brand.Social Media Management and Reporting: Oversee and manage all social media platforms, including creating and editing TikTok videos and Instagram Reels, to aid in the growth of our following and engagement. Also, manage the collection and reporting of performance on social media and other online platforms.Digital Marketing: Assist in updating the existing digital marketing strategy to ensure it stays relevant to industry trends. Identify opportunities for collaborations, partnerships, or influencer engagement.Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures, providing insights to maximise content collaborations to raise brand awareness.Event Support: Support the Community Manager and other team members on all digital marketing activities for the award-winning SHINE Festival each October, including promotional campaigns and content creation.Collaboration: Work closely with the Community Manager and other team members to ensure cohesive and effective marketing efforts across all platforms.Qualifications and Skills:Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience: Proven experience as a marketing executive or in a similar role, within the nonprofit sector is desirable.Digital Proficiency: Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and analytics tools. Experience with WordPress and scheduling tools such as Later.com is an advantage.Content Creation: Proficiency in graphic design using Canva and/or other software.
