Position Overview
The Commercial Pricing Project Leader will play a critical role in developing and executing both strategic and tactical pricing initiatives that maximize revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic and Tactical Leadership:
o Lead the Pricing team in developing and executing both strategic and short-term pricing initiatives.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product Development, to ensure seamless execution of pricing strategies.
* Communication and Coordination:
o Develop and implement comprehensive plans for communicating price changes to customers, ensuring clarity and consistency.
o Coordinate internal efforts to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed of pricing strategies and changes.
* Market Analysis:
o Monitor competitive pricing and market trends to identify opportunities and threats.
o Conduct detailed analysis of pricing data, customer behaviour, and market conditions to inform decision-making.
* Program Management:
o Manage and lead large cross-functional programs related to pricing initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution.
o Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and initiatives.
* Team Leadership:
o Manage and mentor a team of pricing analysts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
o Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
o Communicate pricing strategies and performance updates to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
o Serve as a subject matter expert on pricing issues, providing insights and recommendations to influence strategic decisions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* Proven experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or a related discipline.
* Experience in managing large cross-functional programs; strategy consulting background is a clear plus.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and financial modelling.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
