The team is responsible for shielding the company’s systems from security risks, while designing technology strategies that enable AIG’s businesses to achieve their goals. AIG’s Information Technology functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance.
About the role
What you need to know:
· This role will form part of EMEA IT Delivery organization working across Regional and Global initiatives, Change, Integration and Transformation Projects and Programs.
· Work in a fast paced, high intensity, rewarding IT Delivery team transforming and delivering value to our Business, Operations and IT Stakeholders both Regionally and Globally.
· The ideal candidate is looking for a challenging role executing complex end-to-end transformation delivery projects and programs, including execution, timing, functionality, quality, communication, cost and cross-functional relationships and support.
· The IT Delivery Lead will be a member of the EMEA IT Delivery organisation and responsible for coordinating delivery across Global and Regional initiatives. • Ability to develop IT strategies and roadmaps.
· Manage IT-business relationship; represent Technology in business discussions and ensure necessary technology capabilities needed by business are developed.
· Serve as lead interface between IT Business units and respective parties to ensure collaboration and coordination between all stakeholders.
· Lead design, development, and implementation of business perspective work plans to determine the required tasks and resources for complex projects spanning entire organization.
· Define performance standards and provide feedback for project team members.
· Ensure strategic alignment of project portfolio with business objectives; manage project risk and coordinate change management for large-scale projects or portfolios.
· Manage scope change process and issue identification/resolution with all stakeholders.
· Lead coordination, analysis, and reporting on various operational metrics, progress, and compliance with full governance and leadership.
What we’re looking for:
· Extensive experience on delivering complex system integration projects;
· Bachelors Degree or equivalent;
· Ability to function in demanding matrixed environment;
· Communication skills – verbal communication is clear, professional and persuasive in positive and negative situations; listens and gets clarification
· Proven ability to lead multiple teams across all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle;
· Experience in partnering with Business and IT delivery teams to successfully deliver Global initiatives, Change, Integration and Transformation Projects and Programs.
· Leadership – Exhibits confidence in self and others; inspires and motivates others to perform well. Excellent team building and coaching skills. Can successfully organize and direct
large teams of people. Energetic leader with a positive attitude and a go-getter drive. Ability to effectively interact with senior management
· Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and ability for productive collaboration across varying departments. Comfortable building relationships, internally and externally
· Self-motivated and self-sufficient
· Comfortable in voicing his/her opinion and representing the viewpoints of others in a productive manner
· Ability to deal well with ambiguity, conflict and difficult situations, and ability to deal with change in a pro-active and positive manner
· Proven track record of engaging with business executive stakeholders;
· Ability to drive alignment on scope, requirements, and designs across multiple diverse business groups;
· Strong understanding of Program/Project Management and Vendor Management skills
