We are seeking a talented individual to join our Human Resource team at Marsh McLennan in Ireland.
This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Reporting to the European Delivery and Integration Leader and working in close cooperation with the Ireland Country People Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive Human Resource services in a successful and growing organization.
As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role within the People Function and will support our businesses across Ireland.
In this role, you will coach, support and advise People Managers based in Ireland, aiming to develop and enhance the quality of people management throughout the colleague lifecycle; this role can also include project work.
You will have the opportunity to advise and consult on people matters in a business where the People function is considered an essential partner.
The Senior HR Business Partner will also be key to the deployment and adoption of new processes or initiatives which are aimed at People Managers.
You will need to understand and reflect the local market perspective whilst respecting the value of enterprise-wide alignment where appropriate.
We will count on you to:
Deploy enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to Managers across the full range of activities in the HR portfolio, including and not limited to performance management, skills and competence development and learning, succession planning, absent/leave management, change management, organizational effectiveness, compensation, benefits and total rewards including the year-end process.
Support employee relations matters including investigations, performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, appeals etc.
; where matters are more complex, the Senior HR Business Partner will engage with the Employee Relations CoE (Centre of Expertise) for advice and support.
Responsible for coordinating the rollout and delivery of HR programs and contributing to process improvements.
Cultivate strong relationships with functional teams (Finance, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Benefits) and support the alignment between the people and business strategies.
In partnership with our Talent Acquisition team, participate occasionally in interviews if requested for very senior roles, as well as support People Managers with onboarding new hires ensuring that an appropriate plan for onboarding has been developed by the People Manager.
During organizational changes, coordinate necessary activity to support People Managers and affected colleagues including planning and execution of consultations with colleagues about changes affecting roles or terms of employment.
Coach less experienced HR Business Partners.
Consult and partner with the wider HR network and and CoEs to determine best practices, continuously improve delivery methods, and especially consider country-specific nuances to guide local implementation.
In cooperation with the Country People Leader, and with support from our Centres of Expertise and the Compliance organisation, ensure that regulatory and statutory requirements are met, including reporting requirements.
The role will allow a grade of autonomy and international exposure and will provide with an opportunity to learn and grow.
This opportunity is a 12 month fixed-term contract intitially.
What you will need to have:
Relevant work experience in HR alongside a requirement for suitable qualifications.
Client management skills.
Effective communications and change management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with shifting priorities and a complex matrix organization.
Strong analytical skills and numeracy.
A previous experience in Total Rewards/Compensation and Benefits would be a strong plus.
Thorough understanding of Irish Employment Law and Regulations.
Experience in supporting managers with employee relations case management including investigations.
Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and shareholders management skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively coach managers at most levels in the business through all aspects of the employee life cycle including in more complex situations.
Experience of successfully supporting project/initiative implementation across a population of managers recognizing the broader business objectives.
