Job Summary
This role is based at our Waterford site, operating on a 4-cycle shift pattern.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide technical guidance on both mechanical and controls-related issues to ensure personnel engaged in operations and maintenance activities possess sufficient knowledge to perform their assigned tasks.
2. Document issues and fixes in technical shift hand-over documents to capture mechanical and controls issues and actions.
3. Utilize Lean Six Sigma tools to review and analyze data for uptime, yield, and performance and lead actions to improve key business metrics.
4. Attend shift Tier meetings and lead daily technical actions relating to equipment performance.
5. Liaise with the Manufacturing team to coordinate resources in alignment with priorities.
6. Coordinate the execution of planned and unplanned maintenance activities on shift.
7. Fault-finding and troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
Key Requirements
* Level 8 Engineering degree desired, Electronic or Mechanical preferred.
* Relevant experience in Area 9 is desired.
* Relevant experience in a highly automated, high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Prior Six sigma experience preferred.
* Good problem-solving abilities, able to identify facts, consider alternative approaches, and evaluate the most appropriate action.
* Experience of developing a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic software controls, and automated vision systems.
* Project Management & Vendor Management experience desirable.
* Experience working in a validated medical device/pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
