We are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Technicians across areas such as Surface Mount Technology, E Beam, Packing, and Puck. In this role, you will provide technical support relating to equipment utilized in the manufacturing areas by repairing, maintaining, or modifying production equipment utilizing technical expertise, technical manuals, schematic drawings, precision tools, and test equipment. You will utilize data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives, monitor machine output on the shift to ensure all cells are running to cycle time, and meet specific OEE targets. Perform and/or participate in conducting routine maintenance checks to ensure the operational efficiency of machines and production equipment is maintained to the desired standards.
Your main responsibilities will be:
1. Conducting scheduled maintenance, diagnosing, and troubleshooting faults, and undertaking repairs.
2. Selecting, engaging, and working with outside contractors.
3. Performing complex skilled maintenance and repair such as mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
4. Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
5. Understanding day-to-day operations for conveyors, depositors, p&p machines, and weighing machines.
6. Assisting in the compilation and presentation of technical feedback on engineering performance relating to yield output.
7. Leading on maintenance and/or process issues and working independently or as a team member.
8. Monitoring production processes, running diagnostic tests with products and equipment, and creating comprehensive reports for resolution methods.
9. Certifying and training manufacturing associates in the production processes.
10. Evaluating operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
11. Identifying and implementing corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
12. Installing and validating equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and/or reduce cycle time following the established validation procedure.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
1. Min level 6 in a technical related discipline.
2. Electrical and mechanical skills are desired.
3. Excellent knowledge of industrial machines and the mechanical industry.
4. Experience within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.
5. Technical and fault-finding skills.
6. Surface mount technology experience is an advantage.
