Role Overview
The Product Marketing Manager will play a key role in driving adoption, reducing churn, and increasing engagement through effective communication, internal enablement, and targeted in-app messaging. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and act as a bridge between our product and commercial functions.
This is a hybrid role with two days per week based in Roscrea, Tipperary, Ireland, for the first three months. One day only (usually Tuesday) is required from month 4 onwards.
Key Responsibilities
Feature Communication & Categorisation
1. Collaborate with Product to understand the roadmap and upcoming releases.
2. Create and understand segmentation and cohorts of farmers, both customers and prospects, by farm type; jobs-to-be-done frameworks; geography and seasonality and other factors that will make marketing more targeted.
3. Categorise features as:
1. Tier 1: Must be promoted through sales/marketing campaigns.
2. Tier 2: Important enough for update emails or in-app messages.
3. Tier 3: Bug fixes or minor updates not requiring user communication.
Seasonal Marketing Calendar
1. Own and manage the seasonal marketing calendar by farm type (e.g. dairy, beef, sheep).
2. Map feature types and product updates to seasonal events (e.g. calving, breeding, TB testing) to ensure timely and relevant promotion.
Sales & Marketing Enablement
1. Create clear, concise sales and marketing cheat sheets for every new feature or product release.
2. Equip the Sales and Customer Success teams with talking points, value propositions, and use cases. You own the ‘one-liner’ for each and every product and feature, old and new.
In-App Messaging & Feature Adoption
1. Develop and execute targeted in-app messages via Intercom to:
2. Drive feature adoption.
3. Increase daily active usage (DAU).
4. Reduce customer churn.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
1. Organise and lead regular syncs between Sales, Marketing, CS, and Product to ensure feedback loops and communication are tight.
2. Serve as a key conduit of commercial insight back to Product.
Help Desk & Documentation
1. Collaborate with the CS and Product teams to maintain and improve Intercom Help Desk documentation.
2. Ensure help content is updated and aligned with new releases.
KPIs & Success Metrics
1. Growth in daily active users (DAU) - this is the #1 KPI.
2. Increase in feature adoption.
3. Reduction in churn.
4. Package upgrades from customers due to clearer communication of value.
Ideal Candidate Profile
1. 3+ years of experience in a product marketing, product management, or similar role in a SaaS or technology company.
2. Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to translate technical details into clear value propositions.
3. Hands-on experience with in-app messaging tools like Intercom.
4. Experience working closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
5. A background in farming, agtech, or a deep understanding of the agricultural sector is a strong advantage.
6. Highly organised and capable of managing multiple workstreams.
