Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing firewalls, content filtering services, WAF, and other network security tools. This includes responding to security incidents escalated from a Tier 1 Security Operations Centre and supporting various security operations management systems. On the development side, the role involves assisting with the extension or optimization of existing network security solutions, as well as designing and delivering new solutions.
Key Requirements
* Substantial expertise in network design, deployment, enhancement, and implementing secure network infrastructures.
* Pertinent industry accreditations such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or their equivalents.
* Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
* Strong knowledge of security protocols and technologies.
* Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., Azure Cloud).
* Experience with network security standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS Controls).
* Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM).
* Experience with Zero Trust architecture principles.
* Knowledge of security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
* Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for network security tasks.
* A security or networks industry certification and familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST) and standards (e.g., ISO 27001) would also be an advantage.
* Extensive track record in formulating and rolling out large-scale network infrastructures with an emphasis on robustness and efficacy.
* Ability to devise solutions that meet current business requirements while anticipating future growth and technological advancements.
