We have a new opportunity for a BIM Coordinator to work with a specialist contractor based in Co. Mayo.
This is a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
1. BIM Project Management: Lead the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and methodologies on construction projects. Collaborate with project teams to develop and execute BIM execution plans.
2. Model Development: Create and manage 3D models using industry-standard BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks). Ensure models accurately represent project requirements and adhere to relevant standards.
3. Collaboration and Coordination: Facilitate coordination meetings to resolve clashes and conflicts within the BIM model. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to integrate their models into the overall project BIM.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular model audits to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications. Implement quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the BIM data.
5. Training and Support: Provide training and support to project teams on BIM processes and tools. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in BIM technology.
6. Documentation: Generate and maintain BIM-related documentation, including models, drawings, and clash detection reports. Ensure that as-built models accurately reflect the constructed project.
Qualifications:
7. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
8. BIM certification or relevant professional accreditation.
9. At least 2 years of experience working as BIM Coordinator/Engineer preferably working on building projects.
10. Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
11. Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflows.
12. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
13. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
