We are looking to add an additional Application Engineer to the growing ANN Applications team, focusing on a wide range of automotive network applications. As a member of the team, you will work directly with automotive OEM’s, Tier 1’s and internal teams to support their product development and overcome any technical obstacles from product concept to production. The ANN team are responsible for all of Analog Devices automotive network solutions – and the breakthrough, 10BASE-T1S, Ethernet to Edge Bus (E2B) product. The Role The Automotive Audio & Networking group has identified the need for a highly motivated Applications Engineer to support product design wins, guiding customers with their deployment of ADI based network automotive solutions. The Applications Engineer will collaborate closely with customers and others to develop system solutions for the vehicle and is a critical contributor in winning business and accelerating revenue.This role has a special focus on Automotive Network system solutions regarding under and over body controls, supporting customers as they transition to zonal architecture within a software defined vehicle, enhancing system reliability.Direct contact with customers and our field application engineering staff for creating design solutions and troubleshooting system design problems.Develop your technical expertise such that you are considered by colleagues and customers, as a systems application expert in the Automotive Network Technology. Develop system level hardware, software and supporting collateral as required. Support the building of product demonstrators.Create reference designs and platforms aligned to strategic applications. Clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders including customers, partners, team members, and collaborating ADI teams. Build and share technical and application expertise across ADI’s systems applications teams. Conduct research and perform calculations to support design decisions. Work with simulation tools to model and validate circuit designs, prepare and update schematics, layouts, and other technical documentation. The Person Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field. Knowledge of electronic circuits, components, hardware and software troubleshooting skills. Understanding of testing and debugging techniques for electronic systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets.Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators is a plus. C/C++ (embedded), Python or other programming/scripting languages and experience with microcontrollers Experience with Software Compiler/debug tools, for example IAR/Keil/Segger Strong problem-solving skills and be proficient in capturing, interpreting, and presenting data, both in-person and through written technical reports. Employ solutions thinking and demonstrate proficiency in electronic circuit design, particularly at PCB level, with a background of hands-on technical applications work. You must be a demonstrated team player with great communication skills. Strong writing, technical drawing and verbal communications skills for writing product datasheets, documenting lab reports and creating product application notes.Clear communicator with excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
