Finance Assistant Role in Recycling
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join our Recycling Business Unit on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be based in Bord Na Mona Recycling Newbridge and report directly to the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation of Management Accounts and Financial Reporting for the Resource Recovery division.
* Process journals and perform balance sheet activities, including account reconciliations and resolving queries with colleagues.
* Perform daily and monthly updates on critical business Excel files to provide BnM end users with full visibility.
* Process weekly KPI reports for the Senior Leadership Team, providing accurate information on business performance.
* Prepare and manage bank reconciliations.
* Assist with the completion of supplier reconciliations on a monthly basis.
* Collaborate with the finance team on ad hoc projects.
Requirements:
* Part-qualified accountant with two to five years of office experience.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Good IT proficiency and the ability to manage time effectively to meet agreed deadlines.
* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem resolution.
* Openness to change and a "can-do" attitude.
* Team player, working collaboratively to achieve company goals.
