The Rose Hotel is a 4 star hotel, located in Tralee, Co Kerry. We have 161 bedrooms, 2 restaurants, 2 bars, function room, meeting rooms, spa and gym.
We are currently looking for a Tour Group Reservations Agent on a fixed term contract (duration for at least 2 months, with the possibility of this being extended) to work as part our Front of House team and who has a passion for the hotel industry and delivering a high standard of service.

For the duration of the contract, this is a full time role, mainly working Monday to Friday.
Main duties include:
* Liaise with Tour Operators, for all bookings including Series, Ad Hoc and FIT
* Respond to all group and FIT enquiries, ensuring timely submission of quotations to clients and systematic follow up of all enquiries/quotations
* Manage all group bookings from provisional group booking stage through to final bill payment and acknowledgement
* Encourage and develop relationships with new and existing clients, working closely with the sales department to drive business for all departments of the hotel
* Have a good knowledge of Tour Groups and the operations involved in them
* Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all of our Tour Operators
* Managing all administration and communication with various departments to the highest standard including daily and weekly reporting at daily/operational meetings
* Input and manage group bookings and dining requirements from initial enquiry to departure, ensuring they are kept up-dated with any changes, by following the group booking procedure
* Being flexible in your role by assisting reservations and the front desk during busy demand periods and covering a shift if necessary
* Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate.
* Explain guarantee, special rate and cancellation policies.
* Manage Billing and process payments for groups and prepare billing for accounts when credit facilities are in place.
* To liaise with and work closely with the Revenue Manager.
* To always follow and comply with the Health & Safety standards within the hotel
* To attend any training both external and in house that is required
Requirement for the role:
* Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
* Must have a keen eye for detail
* To be able to work in a fast paced, busy office environment
* To possess excellent telephone and email communication skills
* To have excellent written and spoken English
* To enjoy working as part of a team
* To be passionate about customer care
* Must be able to work flexible working hours if required
