Working with a leader in the Engineering space, I am looking for a Business Analyst with data experience for a pivotal Business & Data role within the business!
The BA & data role is as part of the Business Systems Development and Support team based in the my clients Limerick office. The role is hybrid and requires being on site 2-3 days.
This role involves working across all business functions and process areas building and automating data and reporting capability. Activities encompass end user support, system administration, development and rollout of data analytics and reporting solutions, implementing automation and other continual improvement initiatives. This team proactively collaborates with internal stakeholders and third-party providers to manage business software applications.
Business & Data Analyst Responsibilities:
In conjunction with your team, you will be responsible for the execution of tasks to include:
1. Proactively develop the Business Systems Development and Support functions.
2. Undertake System Administration activity to set up and maintain users on Business Systems.
3. Collaboratively manage support tickets including interpreting support requests and identifying corrective actions.
4. Work with third-party software consultants and developers to communicate, manage and proactively close out system issues together with the testing and implementation of system initiatives and updates.
5. Assess and interpret business data and information needs identifying reporting requirements and opportunities to add value.
6. Interpret and build business data sets.
7. Develop and deploy dashboards to collect and present data-backed insights.
8. Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve business processes and decision-making.
9. Work across functional teams and third-party software providers to develop, test and implement identified reporting solutions and strategies.
10. Specific support for and develop subject matter expertise on all business functions (to include Operations, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Procurement and HR).
11. Lead activities to further develop and maintain user guides, update process documents and training materials.
12. Other day to day support for colleagues and the Business Systems Development & Support Manager.
Necessary requirement of the Business & Data Analyst
13. Appropriate degree or professional qualification.
14. Relevant experience working with ERP software and or other technology solutions.
15. Experience developing improvement scenarios, operating procedures, and documenting processes.
16. User of and exposure to data and reporting tools (Microsoft Power BI, SQL, other)
17. High personal motivation, self-starter with proven ability to work on own initiative.
18. Possess a positive, flexible work attitude (with ability to travel)
19. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
20. Ability to work and positively influence as part of a team.
