Newly Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
We are currently recruiting for a newly qualified or part qualified accountant to join a busy finance team. This is a permanent role and an excellent opportunity to progress your career in a rapidly growing organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of bank reconciliations, accruals & prepayments and assist with preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Processing supplier invoices and maintenance and reconciliation of supplier balances.
* Maintenance of general ledgers and posting journals.
* Assist with preparation of KPIs for management and identify unusual trends or material cost increases requiring attention.
* Assist in monthly operating cost and balance sheet analysis.
* Support with the delivery of financial forecasts and budgets.
* Preparation and filing of VAT returns with the Revenue Commissioners/HMRC, ensuring compliance with payroll and other taxes.
* Review and reconcile intercompany balances monthly and prepare intercompany recharges.
* Making payments and submitting payments on the online banking portal for authorisation.
* Maintenance of stock records.
* Preparation of audit files and liaising with auditors on queries.
* Meeting tight deadlines in a busy environment and taking on project work as required.
The Candidate
* ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent, or a part qualified accountant pursuing qualification with these bodies. Training contracts available.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in an industry or accountancy practice environment.
* High level of numeric accuracy and attention to detail.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and multi-task.
* Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with good interpersonal skills to facilitate client service.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Driven and motivated to succeed.
