Head of Operations and IT Our client, the Tallaght and District Credit Union (TDCU), is seeking to recruit a Head of Operations and IT to support the operational and IT development of the organisation. The Role The Head of Operations and IT will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operational, IT and digital functions of the credit union as it grows. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of member services, IT and digital infrastructure and facilities particularly in the context of the increasing scale of the credit union. About the Credit Union TDCU, located in Tallaght village, serves the financial needs of the Tallaght community. The credit union offers a range of financial products and services, including savings accounts, loans, and insurance, all with competitive rates and low fees. It has embarked on a number of strategic developments in recent years and is now poised to further enhance its structure and reach in the coming months. Key Responsibilities of the Role Develop and implement a comprehensive operations strategy that aligns with the credit union's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.Oversee the management of member services and the branch network, ensuring efficient and effective support for staff, on-site training, guidance, mentoring, and day-to-day management, and the integration of the branch operations and staff into one cohesive and engaged team.Enhance the digital hub/contact centre, supporting online banking services and phone and online services for members.Support administration functions such as insurance processing, AML processing, and general customer service.Lead, support, coach, train and develop the operations team.Lead the IT function, ensuring the effective management of IT infrastructure, core credit union systems, cybersecurity, and business continuity, and overseeing the integration of the two credit unions into one seamless IT function in all areas of the business.Manage the facilities function, ensuring the effective management of property and facilities across the multi-branch network and head office.Ensure building security, CCTV operations and telecoms all meet the credit unions needs and are continuously enhanced and improved.Provide regular reports to the CEO and Board of Directors on the performance and effectiveness of the operations, IT and digital services, and facilities functions.Collaborate with department heads to ensure the consistent and effective application of operational, IT and facilities policies and procedures.Monitor and report on the credit union's operational and IT performance, ensuring effective risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.Working as part of the wider management team, supporting colleagues and deputising in other areas when needed during periods of leave etc. Reporting Reporting to the CEO Person RequiredThe ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Operations/IT Manager working in the financial services or credit union sector.Contract Duration and Hours This is a permanent contract. The role is full-time, 5 days, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturday mornings given the nature of the role and as the credit union is open to members on a Saturday. Location The role is on-site in Tallaght with occasional working from home by agreement.
