Ayrton Group are seeking an EHS Advisor to join our client on a large pharmaceutical construction project in the Grangecastle region. Please note this is a night shift position.
The EHS Advisor will assist in ensuring strict adherence to the client Safety Management System and advising on overall compliance in matters of Health & Safety in accordance with client policies and relevant statutory provisions.
This is a 6 month contract role, with the potential for extension. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 6PM to 6AM.
Key Responsibilities:
* Play a pivotal role in project implementation and delivery processes.
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the completion of projects.
* Manage and maintain the company’s Safety Management System and CMS System.
* Provide general support and assistance to the Health and Safety Manager.
* Ensure that site personnel comply with site safety and company requirements.
* Implement and maintain company Safety Management System.
* Undertake site inspections/audits and report findings to the project EHS Manager.
* Identify training needs, and report requirements to the project EHS Manager.
* Deliver Health and Safety Inductions and weekly Toolbox Talks.
* Organise and chair Safety Meetings.
* Review sub-contractors Method Statements/Risk Assessments and assist where required.
* Assist with accident/incident investigation reports.
* Submit weekly reports.
* Carry out daily site walks and report findings to project supervisors immediately.
* Advise and assist the site teams in drafting Safe Plans of Action.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum of a Level 7 qualification in Environmental Health & Safety. Similar qualifications will be considered.
* Minimum of 2 year’s experience in on-site safety roles.
* Previous experience working on pharmaceutical construction projects is preferred.
* Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
* Thorough knowledge of current safety legislation & regulations for Ireland.
* Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills to lead a team.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
