Principal/Associate Mechanical Engineers

Your New Role:
In this role, you will lead and deliver multiple medium to large-scale projects, encompassing all facets of design within mechanical engineering consultancy services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertaking calculations
* Production of drawings
* Producing specifications and reports
* Conducting site surveys
* Conducting construction stage duties
* Providing client liaison
* Consulting with members of design/construction teams
* Any other relevant duties required to comply with project briefs
Design Deliverables:
* Production and review of detailed design calculations for all aspects of mechanical design
* Production of specifications and plant schedules
* Production of design notes, basis of design and RIBA stage reports showing compliance with standards and best practice
* Production of design drawings from conception through to detailed design
* Conducting detailed site surveys and inspection of installations
Team Leadership:
* Mentoring and guidance of junior to intermediate engineers
* Input into fee estimates and bid process
* Support directors with resource planning and managing team workload
What You'll Need:
* Educated in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or another relevant field
* Chartered Engineer or willing to work towards
* Strong project management skills in delivering building services projects from concept through to handover
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills with the confidence to manage varying client situations
* Ability to develop relationships with new and existing clients
* Understanding of commercial project management and cost control
* Ambition and drive to lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians
* High level of knowledge and experience of Mechanical Engineering and low carbon design with a key understanding of other disciplines
* Experience and knowledge of using Revit and Navisworks software
