Talent Acquisition Specialist @ Gas Networks Ireland
Hybrid 3 days from home, Fixed Term 3 years contract, Cork or Dublin based
The Role:
The Business Development function within Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for developing and implementing the commercial strategies to ensure sustainable growth into the future. The Customer Acquisition Team focuses on increasing demand by maximizing the potential of the existing gas network by encouraging additional connections across various sectors.
The Large I&C Sales Engineer will be responsible for proactively identifying additional industrial connection opportunities while fostering best-in-class sales techniques to convert opportunities into contracts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Proactively identify new opportunities for industrial connections consuming in excess of 5,500,000kWh.
* Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to support gas connection projects.
* Demonstrate strong technical selling and negotiation skills to conclude contractual arrangements.
* Provide technical expertise to customers while leveraging an established network of industry contacts.
* Demonstrate commercial acumen and assist customers with exploring commercial routes to market.
* Prepare for and execute customer meetings in accordance with the GNI Customer Sales Process.
* Manage sales funnel of opportunities while reporting on activity and market trends.
* Seek improvements in the Gas Networks Ireland connections process.
* Represent GNI at key industry events as a subject matter expert.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* 5 years experience in a technical sales function, preferably in the renewable energy or utility connections industry.
* Keen knowledge of the renewable gas industry and technologies.
* Commercially aware and able to identify opportunities.
* Good understanding of business plans and commercial paybacks.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Highly developed presentation skills.
* Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders/customers.
* Proven ability to create and develop good working relationships.
* Ability to set high standards of performance and deliver results.
