PMO Manager - 3 month daily rate assignment Our client has set up a new Project Management Office function and is looking to expand.
A PMO Manager is required to lead the development of the PMO procedures to the next level of detail, and fully integrate internal controls and risk framework, relevant policies and all relevant sources.
Prescriptive and detailed guidance is essential to enable the PMO department to scale as additional projects are initiated, and new project managers are recruited The project management procedures must include the following: Outline of the purpose of the PMO and its role within the organisation Project lifecycle from initiation to completion Project management methodologies to be used by the PMO Governance procedures at key project gateways Guidelines around resource allocation Procedures for managing project teams and other stakeholders Decision-making protocols Risk and issue management Change management Financial and Cost management Document management and Control Procedures for quality assurance / audit arrangements Communication and reporting processes Procedures for capturing lessons learned and implementing best practice.
The project manager is required to plan and deliver the above scope with support from two internal PMO resources.
At the end of the project, a full handover is required of the suite of procedures to the internal PMO resources who will have the responsibility for ongoing monitoring and updating of these procedures and communicating subsequent changes to project managers and project sponsors across the organisation.
The project manager will report directly to the Head of PMO Competitive Day Rate is on offer.
