Our vision is to become the global leaders in designing, implementing, and managing energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.Role & ResponsibilitiesThis role in Building Optimization is key to ensuring ongoing energy performance and improvement of building operation through energy data analysis, systems monitoring, and detailed understanding of the buildings' energy use.Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement in building systems.Develop strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce operational costs through the implementation of energy-efficient technologies.Monitor and analyze energy usage data to track performance and identify trends.Sustainability InitiativesParticipate in the design and implementation of sustainability programs, including LEED certification and other green building initiatives.Collaborate with stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and best practices in building management.Research and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the environmental performance of building operations.System OptimizationEvaluate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for energy efficiency and performance improvements.Utilize building management systems (BMS) to optimize HVAC and lighting systems for energy performance.Oversee the installation and commissioning of energy-efficient systems and equipment.Regulatory ComplianceEnsure that all building operations comply with statutory and energy regulations and environmental standards.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to energy efficiency and sustainability.Project ManagementManage and coordinate energy-related projects from conception to execution, including budgeting and scheduling.Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and integration of energy-saving measures.Reporting and DocumentationPrepare detailed reports on energy performance and sustainability initiatives for management and stakeholders.Maintain accurate records of energy consumption, performance metrics, and compliance documentation.Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious experience working in Australia using their NABERS System, Middle East with a Super ESCO or ECSO Facilitator or a similar role where experience was gained optimizing the buildings systems and using IPMVP to measure performance.Equally, you could be an experienced BMS engineer familiar with the design of controls strategies and the iterative process of systems optimization.Ideally, Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or Sustainability Engineering.Preferably Certified Energy Manager Qualified.Project Management and Leadership abilities.Data Analysis and Decision-making skills.Financial Acumen and Budget Management.Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management.Experience in Sustainability or Energy Management.Knowledge of Building Regulations and Green Building Certifications.What we offer:Competitive salary: dependent on experience.Private healthcare fully subsidised.Pension Scheme / Bike to work scheme.Great culture and company social club.Close working relationship with senior managers and directors.Be part of a CIBSE award-winning engineering firm.21 days annual leave including Good Friday.Early finish on a Friday.If you are a motivated engineer with a passion to promote building optimisation, we invite you to join our team and make a difference!
