Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Medical Sales Representative to join our clients team. The role involves promoting and selling medical devices, healthcare products, and related services to nursing homes, care facilities, and residential care providers across the Leinster region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the healthcare sector, particularly in the elderly care and nursing home environment, with a proven track record in medical sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and target new business opportunities within nursing homes, care facilities, and other relevant healthcare providers across Leinster.
2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, such as nursing home managers, procurement officers, and clinical staff.
3. Manage a sales pipeline and effectively close sales while meeting monthly and quarterly sales targets.
4. Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for healthcare professionals to ensure product knowledge and best practice use.
5. Provide ongoing support to existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any product-related concerns or queries.
6. Offer technical and educational support to healthcare professionals on the benefits, usage, and best practices of the products sold.
7. Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the healthcare and elderly care markets.
8. Report on market conditions, competitor strategies, and customer feedback to the management team.
9. Ensure all sales activities are compliant with relevant healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
10. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales forecasts, and business development activities within CRM systems.
11. Prepare and submit regular sales reports and business activity updates to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Education: A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Life Sciences, Healthcare) or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in medical or healthcare sales, with a preference for experience selling to nursing homes, care facilities, or the broader healthcare sector. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
3. Knowledge: A strong understanding of the needs and challenges of the healthcare sector, particularly with regard to elderly care and nursing homes. Knowledge of medical devices, consumables, and healthcare products used in care facilities is a significant advantage. Understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements within the healthcare and medical sales industry.
4. Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clinical, managerial, and procurement personnel. Results-oriented with a drive to achieve targets. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
