Purpose of Role
The Operational Technology (OT) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Manager plays a crucial role in developing and overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of OT and MES systems within the site. This ensures all manufacturing processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with the site's strategic goals.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate and support technology solutions that enhance production capabilities and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop the strategy and oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OT and MES systems.
* Collaborate with IT and production teams to ensure seamless integration of OT and MES with other enterprise systems.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
* Ensure all OT and MES systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity protocols.
* Spearhead and manage Controls and MES Teams in providing technical support and troubleshooting for OT and MES-related issues.
* Lead and manage OT and MES projects from conception through implementation and post-implementation support.
* Utilize data from OT and MES systems to generate insights and support decision-making processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Preference given to those with MSc/PhD.
* Minimum of 10 years hands-on experience in OT and MES management within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in OT and MES systems, knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Vision Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and cybersecurity best practices.
* Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, presenting complex technical information and analysis to senior stakeholders.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to influence and drive change.
