Title: Air Import Clerk (9-12 Month Contract)
Location: Dublin North
Terms: Full-time 9-12 Mth contract, office-based, Monday-Friday, normal hours

Leading North-Dublin-based Logistics company now seeks an experienced Air Imports Clerk. The company has a culture of internal promotion which leads to a high retention rate amongst their staff and they offer a unique compensation program. The Air Imports Clerk will ensure the proper and timely movement of freight and information while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Import department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
2. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
3. Track and trace Air Import files as required. This can be either internally or externally via airline websites or by telephone to airline offices.
4. Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments.
5. Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes.
6. Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
7. Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards.
8. Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with vendors (airlines, trucking companies, and others).
9. Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies/requirements.
10. Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
11. Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated in the DLSOP.
12. Meet KPI standards, as per the company’s procedures.
13. Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
14. Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Skills:
1. Minimum of 2 years recent air import freight forwarding operations experience.
2. IATA Certification (preferred).
3. Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
4. Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
5. Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
6. Fluent in English.
