Job Title: Planner
We are seeking a Planner to join our client's team on a six-month fixed-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
Salary:
* $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
About the Role
As a Planner, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve operational goals and objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Creating, processing, scanning, and archiving purchase orders
* Working with the supply chain team to support production and external customer needs
* Collaborating with all departments to comply with assigned company projects
* Planning and scheduling material deliveries to the manufacturing area
* Providing daily feedback to customer service regarding customer expedite requests, order status updates, and problem orders on the shop floor
* Advising on deliveries and planning job scheduling to the shop floor
* Dealing with vendor and customer contacts via phone and email
* Liaising with production to obtain answers to expedited items
* Ensuring delivery of KPIs and weekly reports for management
* Data entry on the ERP system and running work benches
* Liaising with Production/Engineering to send purchase orders to vendors
Requirements
* Degree in a business-related discipline
* Proficient in Excel; experience with ERP systems is an advantage
* Ability to read engineering drawings is an advantage
* Ability to establish and achieve continuous improvement goals
* Effective communication skills - written, verbal, and interpersonal
* Excellent organizational skills
* Proactive self-starter who can work independently without supervision
* Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage multiple tasks
* Positive attitude and motivation for the role
* Operate to the highest ethical and professional standards with a strong work ethic
About the Offer
This is a six-month fixed-term contract with a competitive salary depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The role is based fully onsite in Shannon, Co. Clare, with working hours from Monday to Thursday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
