Job Description
The Role of a Financial Services VAT Manager is to oversee VAT issues across a diverse range of clients, ensuring the delivery of tax projects and providing effective reporting to senior management.
* Manage the delivery of tax projects, taking into account client needs and requirements.
* Provide regular updates to senior management on VAT-related matters.
* Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
* Pursue new business opportunities through proactive client liaison and negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
* VAT Consultation and Advisory Services: Provide expert advice on VAT compliance, risk management, and optimization strategies.
* Tax Project Management: Oversee complex tax projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with client expectations.
* Client Liaison: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions.
* New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging existing client networks and expertise.
Requirements
* Professional Qualification: AITI qualified or equivalent Tax or Accountancy qualification.
* Experience: At least 5 years' experience in indirect tax, preferably within practice.
* Technical Skills: Strong technical skills and a willingness to further develop them.
* Risk Management: Ability to identify areas of risk and carry out effective review.
* Commercial Awareness: Client-focused and commercially aware, with an ability to build strong client relationships.
