Business Development Representative (BDR) Role Overview

About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Representative to join our team. This role will give you the autonomy and responsibility for the active development of the company's sales pipeline. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to generate leads, strengthen our market share, and become an active member of our growth strategy going forward.
Your primary responsibility will be to generate qualified leads within the SMB market and nurture them through the early stages of the sales funnel. Some cold calling will be involved; you must be comfortable with this. The role is fully remote, so you will need a home office space and good internet.
Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for identifying and researching potential SMB customers in target markets, generating a consistent flow of qualified leads, assessing leads' needs, budget, and readiness to engage in the sales process, and developing a strong understanding of our ATS & HRIS offering, its features, and value proposition.
You will also build and maintain relationships with leads, implementing lead nurturing strategies, schedule qualified sales appointments and demos for Account Executives, maintain accurate records of lead interactions and progress in our CRM system, HubSpot, provide valuable feedback from customer interactions to improve messaging and strategies, collaborate with Sales AE team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads, meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets, and develop a deep understanding of HRLocker's ATS & HRIS software and its features to understand our business domain.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 1 year's experience in lead generation in a Business to Business Environment.

You must have a minimum of 1 year's experience in lead generation in a Business to Business Environment, be self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently in a remote work environment and effectively collaborate with team members across various locations.
You should also be experienced in using Microsoft software suite, organized, and able to multi-task & manage several sales opportunities at the same time.

Prior experience of working in a remote-first organization, regional market knowledge and familiarity with the HR tech industry, previous experience of working in a Business Development capacity in a SAAS, recruitment, or HR domain, and experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems such as HubSpot to manage sales processes, tracking customer performance/satisfaction, and provide data-driven insights would be an advantage.
