About the Role
As a Family Services Team Leader, you will lead a team of dedicated practitioners in delivering evidence-informed interventions for families experiencing vulnerability. Utilizing our Kids First Coaching Framework, you'll empower parents to develop the skills and confidence needed to build stronger families.
You will also drive service excellence through innovation, quality assurance, and stakeholder collaboration while maintaining a child-safe, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide supervision and guidance to a team of up to 8 child and family practitioners.
* Oversee the delivery of trauma-informed, evidence-based practices to families.
* Support integrated service delivery across Kids First programs.
* Manage compliance with relevant policies, standards, and legislation, including Victorian Child Safe Standards and MARAM.
* Foster professional development through coaching, feedback, and team-building activities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners such as The Orange Door, NEMA Alliance agencies, and Child Protection.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, child and family welfare, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of leadership experience in family services or a similar setting.
* Advanced expertise in working with children and families affected by family violence, abuse, or complex needs.
* Demonstrated ability to manage staff performance, lead change, and ensure quality outcomes.
* Skilled in stakeholder engagement, project planning, and evaluation.
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Commitment to Kids First's values and a willingness to undertake relevant training.
