Senior Buyer Cork My client is seeking a Senior Buyer for a full-time permanent position based in Cork. As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in our procurement operations, taking responsibility for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, goods, and services essential to our business. The ideal candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, in-depth market knowledge, and a proven ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure materials, and services, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Build and nurture supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage contracts effectively. Monitor procurement costs, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Oversee timely material deliveries and manage on-site inventory to prevent delays. Collaborate closely with project managers and site teams to ensure material requirements align with project schedules. Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulations and sustainability objectives. Candidate Profile: Demonstrated experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role, ideally with a background in supply chain management. Strong negotiation skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proficiency in procurement software, tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. In-depth understanding of sourcing strategies, contract management, and purchasing best practices.
