Senior Psychologist
We are seeking a Senior Psychologist to join our team at Portlaoise Prison, Co. Laois.
About the Role
As a Senior Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and formulating plans for individuals referred to our psychology service.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing behaviour monitoring procedures for each individual
* Providing specialist contributions to multi-disciplinary Care and Management Planning
* Engaging in and supervising evidence-based psychological interventions
* Assessing and intervening with people presenting with mental health difficulties and offence-specific needs
Requirements
Candidates must:
* Be eligible for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS)
* Hold a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology recognised by PSI
* Have a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience as a Psychologist
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience addressing emotional, mental health and offence-related difficulties with a forensic population
* Experience providing consultation, education, guidance and support to multidisciplinary colleagues
* Further therapeutic or research qualifications
Estimated Salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per annum
