About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Centre Process Water Project Manager to lead the delivery of water treatment and process water systems for mission-critical data centre projects. The role involves managing end-to-end project delivery, from feasibility, design coordination and procurement through to construction, commissioning, and handover. The ideal candidate will have a background in water treatment engineering, project management, and Mechanical and Electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery:
* Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of process water treatment systems in data centre environments
* Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and compliance standards
* Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, risk registers, and financial forecasts
* Coordinate with engineering, construction, and operations teams to integrate process water systems with the overall facility infrastructure
* Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
Technical & Compliance Oversight:
* Ensure compliance with project specification, client project expectations and health & safety standards
* Oversee the design and adhere to the provided specification of water treatment systems (e.g., filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, UV disinfection, deionization)
* Implement best practices for project execution, including potential of off-site build to deliver the project more effectively
Stakeholder & Client Management:
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and internal teams regarding the project delivery including design, procurement, installation and commissioning
* Provide leadership and strategic advice on all aspects of the project to the various team members including internal design, engineering and site installation teams
* Facilitate regular project progress, design and internal team meetings to ensure excellent communication between various parties
* Develop project budgets from tender handover, financial reports, and cost control measures
* Identify cost-saving opportunities/value engineering solutions without compromising on quality and compliance
* Submit monthly payment applications to the client's commercial team
Key Competencies and Skills:
* Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex projects
* Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and regulators
* Detail-oriented and analytical, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance
* Proactive and adaptable, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Commercially astute, understanding financial implications of project decisions.
* Experience working in data centre infrastructure or other high-tech, mission-critical environments
* Experience with FIDIC contracts
Qualifications:
* Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Civil, or related field), or relevant industry experience
* Proven experience (5+ years) in water treatment, project management or M&E delivery in similar environments
* Some knowledge of water treatment technologies (e.g., filtration, RO, UV, softening, deionization)
* Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects (design, procurement, installation, commissioning)
