Depositary Services Relationship Manager
Duration: 12 months
Location: Dublin (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
The ideal candidate will have between 5-7 years relevant fund industry experience. Experience in depositary/relationship management/compliance will be a distinct advantage. An understanding of the laws and regulations applicable to depositary/trustee, particularly the requirements for Irish funds, is also beneficial. Working fund knowledge, including exposure to complex asset and fund structures, is essential.
About The Role:
To work in the Real Estate & Property team environment performing depositary duties in accordance with corporate governance and infrastructure, Central Bank of Ireland, local market regulations, and the requirements of fund documentation. Responsibilities include client management, reviewing and approving property transactions, maintaining and updating the property database, monitoring fund compliance with investment restrictions, engaging with regulators and audit firms, producing accurate MI reporting, assisting in depositary projects and initiatives, and supporting new business activity within the depositary business. The successful candidate will consult with clients and partners to identify and develop process improvements and optimize effectiveness within the group and across the department.
Client Management
* First point of contact for clients and internal partners for allocated property clients.
* Responsible for allocated clients including timely escalation of issues on a day-to-day basis.
* Responsibility for on-boarding new funds/structures for allocated clients.
* Attend and present at quarterly board meetings and due diligence visits for allocated clients.
* Participate in ad-hoc client meetings/calls.
Depositary Governance
* Assist with the completion and submission of MI to Depositary committees.
* Provide Depositary governance structures (CART / EDC) ad-hoc reporting.
* Engage with Depositary Operations in service calls.
Regulatory Oversight
* Review fund documentation from a trustee/depositary perspective, including prospectus/supplement/RMP/Valuation Policies and SLD.
Investment Compliance Monitoring
* Investigate breaches and communicate to fund promoter/investment manager.
* Update the regulatory breaches register.
* Ensure prompt response to client & internal queries.
Reporting & Data Management
* Complete monthly/quarterly client reports and ensure reports are sent within SLD deadline.
* Produce quarterly board report and issue to Corp. Sec within deadline.
* Complete and monitor fund risk assessment reporting.
* Update and maintain the regulatory breaches & error registers.
* Report investment breaches to fund boards and the CBI as required.
* Report material price errors to fund boards and the CBI as required.
On-site Inspections
* Assist in the completion of the annual on-site inspection of the Real Estate section in the administration company.
Additional Responsibilities
* Work on team projects (e.g. new regulations and process improvements).
* Assist with the completion and submission of MI to Depositary committees.
* Participate in the development of the property procedures within the department.
* Ability to identify risks and issues and escalate appropriately to the management team.
