We are looking for a self-motivated individual to help move forward the next generation public safety experience, and to work with a team of top experienced professionals to enable mission critical services and solutions.
In this position, you will work as a senior software engineer within a scrum team that is responsible for designing, implementing, and testing solutions for a variety of land mobile wireless communications products. This role is expected to help technically lead the team in full lifecycle development using agile development methodologies. Your tasks will also involve hands-on interaction with product hardware and lab equipment for development, testing, and debugging.
Basic Requirements:
* Bachelors (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
* Working experience with C/C++ and object-oriented development
* Working experience with Linux and/or Unix
* Advanced debugging skills
Desired Skills:
* Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Podman, etc.
* Experience with Python
* Experience with Git, Jira
* Excellent organizational skills
* Ability to work with and debug legacy code
* Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.
* Understanding of real-time processing in an embedded environment
Note: This position requires the employee to work from the office initially for a period of time and hybrid (work from office 2-3 days per week or as required by the business) afterwards.
