Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of warehouse operatives.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company H&S arrangements and contributing to their maintenance.
* Understand customer requirements and deliver first-class customer service.
* Supervise, train, and assist with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, inventory control, and other value-added activities.
* Assign workloads and tasks within the Warehouse Team.
* Ensure the Warehouse Team follows daily, weekly, and monthly task lists.
* Serve as the main point of contact for visitors to the warehouse.
* Enforce safety standards and controls to promote a culture of safety.
* Monitor security within the warehouse and yard.
* Operate the Warehouse Management System (PC & Hand Held Scanner).
* Operate clients' IT systems.
* Operate various MHE (Pallet Trucks, Forklift Trucks, etc.).
* Participate in the warehouse 'on-call' roster.
* Provide holiday/absence cover when required.
Requirements:
* 3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
* Leaving Cert or equivalent qualification.
* Leadership and communication skills.
* Literacy and numeracy skills.
