This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to get involved in research, the development of medical education curricula and the opportunity to develop particular clinical interests. Annually RCSI Paediatrics and Neonates recruit staff for the following Clinical Educator posts: 2 part time Neonates lecturers are assigned to the Rotunda Hospital; 2 full time Paediatric lecturers are assigned to Children's University Hospital, Temple St; 2 full time Paediatric lecturers are assigned to Our Lady's Children's Hospital Crumlin; 1 part time Neonates lecturer is assigned to the Coombe; 1 part time lecturer covering Paediatrics and Neonates to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Contributing to the clinical teaching programme in the senior cycle programmes Contributing to the assessment of students in senior cycles programmes. This includes development, delivery and evaluation of course content Liaising with heads of department, project leaders for clinical competence and other relevant faculty members in planning, delivering and evaluating teaching programmes Providing resources and communication with student groups via the RCSI virtual learning environment Delivering the curriculum at a number of sites e.g. assigned hospitals, RCSI Campus Assist in drafting exam questions under the direct supervision of the Head of the department and Professors.
