Req:27784 We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and results orientated Data Protection Administrator to join our service.
This role would suit an enthusiastic person with a positive can-do attitude.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality administrative support for the Data Protection function as required in line with the Core Values of AVISTA.
The successful candidate be working with the Data Protection Officer to support the implementation of AVISTA's data protection implementation plan to ensure compliance of data management practices under the relevant legislation.
This role will also include duties under the Freedom of Information Act and will be involved in a wide range of administrative duties associated with a busy and dynamic office.
Interested applicants must possess the following: Evidence of consistent updating of administration skills and knowledge.
Diploma/Degree in relevant qualification with office administration course is desirable Have a good knowledge of Freedom of Information and Data Protection Legislation Minimum of 3 years administration experience in the public sector or similar organisation Excellent administration/clerical skills, including minute taking/ transcription and diary management.
Applicants should possess Level 2 behavioural competencies of AVISTA Competency Framework.
Desirable: Experience working in a busy environment, dealing with numerous staff and confidential data.
Excellent professional telephone manner with good experience of dealing with queries from families and members of the public specific to the role Competent and confident IT skills - Word, Excel, Power Point, e-mail, Sharepoint and data gathering.
Be self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
Flexibility required to support local teams on data management practices.
