An Deis/The Opportunity
We are now seeking a Senior Analyst to join Operations Development & Compliance team.
As Senior Analyst you will work with the FASS Programme team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the detailed changes being made under the FASS Programme and contribute to the drafting of the plain English version of the System Services Code and Agreed Procedures to reflect the new competitive arrangements. As changes to other market and Grid Codes will be necessary, you will also contribute to the development and drafting of these modification proposals and supporting them through to implementation.
Once the new arrangement go live, you will be responsible for management of the change to the System Services Code to deliver on the pipeline of change arising from Regulatory and Legislative decisions as well as industry, strategic programmes and other necessary modifications.
You will lead extensive interaction with the Regulatory Authorities (RAs), Market Participants and the wider industry at senior levels on the workings of the System Services and other markets and integration of changes arising from these engagements into the code and agreed procedures. As part of your role, we will look to you to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape future changes.
Strong analysis and communication skills and an ability to articulate technical concepts and analysis to senior non-technical audiences and business leaders is essential.
Fút Féin/About you
* A degree in engineering, economics, energy policy or similar, with a minimum of 4+ years post qualification relevant experience, preferably in the energy markets and policy area.
* Ability to translate policy and complex concepts into rules, codes and standards.
* Experience in a multidisciplinary environment with excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, coupled with the ability to make reasoned judgements based on available information.
* Effective communicator with an ability to articulate technical concepts and analysis to senior non-technical audiences and business leaders.
* Excellent knowledge of energy market arrangements in Ireland, and in other European countries.
* Experience in drafting code and energy market rules.
* Detailed knowledge and experience of EirGrid’s role as transmission system operator and market operator, as well as wider energy markets, market rules, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience working within a regulated business.
