About the Front Desk Role
The Front Desk employee is the face of the club, and it's essential that this person has a positive and upbeat personality with great communication skills.
They will wear many hats and be responsible for answering phone calls, making Retro Smoothies, and assisting customers. Key qualities for this role include:
* Working a set schedule of weekday nights and weekend shifts
* Willingness to cover other shifts as needed
* A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
* Multitasking abilities
* Customer service orientation
* Punctuality, responsibility, and attention to detail
* CPR/AED training (preferred)
* Prior experience in retail settings (desired)
Responsibilities:
* Greeting and checking in members upon arrival
* Resolving customer issues effectively
* Membership sales and retention efforts
* Following up with prospects
* Selling merchandise, such as Retro Smoothies and pro shop items
* Maintaining a safe and clean health club environment
* Opening and closing the facility (as scheduled)
* FOLLOWING COMPANY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
All Front Desk employees are required to wear company staff shirts along with khaki pants or black athletic pants. Sneakers must be worn, while boots, heels, and sandals are not permitted. Staff should maintain good grooming and neatness.
Employees working opening shifts must arrive 15 minutes prior to the club's opening time to complete all necessary tasks on the Opening Checklist. Closing employees are expected to close at the designated time and refrain from counting money until all members have left the facility and the doors are locked.
