You'll be responsible for ensuring PAYE/PRSI compliance, liaising with relevant authorities, resolving payroll queries, and preparing necessary files and returns. Additionally, you'll provide crucial administrative support to the Director of Finance, including managing diaries, scheduling meetings, recording absences, and assisting with garda vetting. Your ability to multitask effectively in this fast-paced role will be key to your success. Process weekly and monthly payroll for staff ensuring PAYE/PRSI compliance Liaise with the Revenue Commissioner and Department of Social Welfare as required Prepare files/returns to Revenue Commissioners each month Resolve employee payroll queries Update budget sheets and summaries with income & expenditure Provide administrative support to the Director of Finance - manage diary, schedule meetings with internal and external personnel Record all absences for privately paid staff, both teaching and non-teaching Assist with garda vetting Requirements of the Accounts and Payroll Specialist Job: The ideal candidate for the Accounts and Payroll Specialist role brings a wealth of experience in SAGE Payroll systems along with detailed knowledge of PAYE, PRSI, Employment Law, and Employee Entitlements. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential. You are a confident communicator who is highly organised and capable of working on your own initiative as well as part of a team when required. Your strong attention to detail will be critical in this role.
