As Steel Fabricator, you will assist with the fabrication and installation of steelwork throughout The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland, ensuring all work is completed to a high quality and meets the necessary requirements and standards.
About you:
Qualification in fabrication and welding and relevant steel fabrication experience.
Able to demonstrate experience of installing steelwork, including levelling and setting out installations.
Experience of interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Able to demonstrate good organisational skills with experience of working on a variety of projects.
Able to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
Full valid driving licence.
About the role:
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:
Ensuring welding tasks (arc welding) are carried out to a high-quality standard.
Fabricating fixtures and fittings, e.g., stabling, gates, doors, covers, gratings, shelter bases, etc.
Reviewing blueprints, fabrication drawings or other instructions to determine material requirements and operational methods.
Assisting with the installation of steelwork, including levelling and setting out installations.
Planning, organising and prioritising work and estimating quantities needed.
Planning, laying out and examining metal stock and workpieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met and signing delivery notes when required.

The working pattern will be agreed between the Line Manager and post holder.
