In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of highly skilled fire safety engineers to design and implement fire safety measures across a wide portfolio of projects. The candidate will have the option to work remotely with infrequent travel to the Dublin office and to site as required.Responsibilities:Developing fire engineering strategiesConducting fire risk assessmentsLiaising with project stakeholders to ensure regulatory complianceUndertaking fire safety engineering work in Ireland, with potential support for design projects in the UKThe applicant will work predominantly within the building sector, although opportunities to support other sectors may arise from time to time, considering the multidisciplinary nature of Arcadis and the range of services we deliver to our clients.Specific Duties Include:Development of Fire Safety Strategy reports through RIBA stages of DesignPreparation of fire safety and disability access applicationsMeans of Escape Analysis (ASET) (RSET)Development of Fire Safety Management Plans and Fire Safety StatementsInspection and assessment of existing buildings and infrastructureAssessment and understanding of Irish and UK fire safety legislation and standards applied to buildings, such as TG Document B, TG Document M, Approved Document B (AD B), BS, CIBSE Guide E.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Engineering or related field (open to Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Civil Engineering, Scientific or other numeric degrees)Qualifications should be recognized by a professional engineering bodyIdeally a Chartered Engineer or working towards ChartershipProven experience (3-5 years and above) in fire engineeringFamiliarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN)We are committed to equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
