A leading global provider of consumer packaging solutions is seeking to hire a Maintenance Lead Engineer, who will ensure that the plant machinery and equipment run smoothly and reliably. Responsible to manage, schedule, and purchase maintenance services and supplies, contributing to maintaining all machinery, equipment, and other physical assets to ensure safe, continual, and efficient operation, and will carry out and arrange for repairs when needed.
The Maintenance Lead Engineer will report to the Operations Director.
Key Responsibilities
* Reporting and correcting of all hazards or issues identified immediately.
* Arrange and/or carry out inspection, maintenance and repairs for machinery, equipment and plant including maintenance and repair of production machinery, plant infrastructure, machine changes and machine installations.
* Management of technical maintenance contractors and services.
* Administration of CMMS system, assigning production machinery maintenance schedules, work orders and management of the team and the site demand.
* Generating work order processes and procedures for maintenance and repair of plant machinery.
* Collaborate with contractors and other professionals during construction works on site.
* Lead planning and execution of Projects assigned to Maintenance Department.
* Execution of FAT, IQ/OQ, Commissioning orders.
* Reporting energy waste and identification of energy saving opportunities.
* Participating in internal programmes such as STEP Board, 5s etc.
* Track, plan, and record maintenance expenditure.
* Completion of internal or external training as for self and the team for continuous development.
* Flexible working approach to meet the site's operational requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
* Awareness of H&S policy and practice.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience of maintenance engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems.
* An understanding of basic technical aspects of property (Air-conditioning, plumbing, electrical etc.).
* Adaptable - possesses the ability to work independently or with the wider team.
* Ability to develop effective relationships with Maintenance team and with contractors.
* Active learner and a self-starter.
Desired Skills & Competencies
* Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) experience.
* CMRP Certified.
* Working knowledge of electrical fault-finding techniques.
* Planning & Scheduling experience.
* Personal commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives.
