IT Category Manager (Procurement)
A unique opportunity to work with an organisation and team of procurement professionals in the IT/ICT space.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop category strategies for operational efficiencies within the IT/ICT space
* Build and maintain expert knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations
* Manage multi-stream strategic sourcing projects, including research, negotiation, financials, risk, resourcing, and governance
* Foster collaboration with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members
* Ensure compliance with governance and policies
* Adapt technical solutions to business needs and articulate trends to leaders
* Create change by managing multiple sourcing initiatives
* Build strong relationships with operational users, specialists, and senior stakeholders
* Demonstrate commercial acumen with major suppliers
* Reduce costs and add value through sourcing and supplier development methodologies
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience in procurement, sourcing, in the IT/ICT areas
* Experience in leading key technology negotiations
* Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into sourcing practices
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
* Deep understanding of industry and category trends
* Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and planning skills
* Degree level or equivalent experience; CPSM/CIPS qualification desirable
