This role will lead large scale cost savings projects, drive efficiencies, and work closely with senior leadership across manufacturing sites and the global deliver team to address logistics needs. This position leads logistics initiatives and helps ensure all Deliver transformation standards are deployed across manufacturing sites, raw material warehouses, and manufacturing cross docks. This includes proactively developing and deploying best practices and driving continuous improvement. This is a global role but we are looking for a candidate living in Ireland.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Develop and prioritize opportunities and action plans to improve service and reduce transportation costsLead network changes that involve the opening and closure of raw material warehouses and manufacturing cross docksLead onsite material handling and shipping and receiving teamsPartner with finance to review freight spend, potential risks, potential upside and lead projects to reduce variance vs Annual Operating Plan Collaborate with manufacturing sites and cross docks to drive process standardization and deploy best practices Uncover cost savings opportunities, drive cross-functional initiatives and collaboration and lead contingency planning and risk management activities as neededRequired Knowledge and Experience:Bachelors degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experienceStrong transportation and distribution acumen, including knowledge of transportation planning, warehouse, and cross dock operationsStrong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc)Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skillsExperience leading cross-functional initiativesMicrosoft Office Suite UserExperience working in multi-national companies with diverse culture, matrix organization and regional led responsibilities would be an advantage.
