Company Accountant Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our client's finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily banking activities, record transactions, and manage monthly bank reconciliations.
* Process and file purchase and expense invoices, handle supplier payments, and reconcile accounts monthly.
* Assist in preparing year-end draft management accounts.
* Manage sales invoicing, customer statements, and overdue account follow-ups.
* Monitor stock adjustments, ensuring accurate monthly postings to the ledger.
* Prepare and file bi-monthly VAT returns and maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations.
Qualifications:
* Recognised Accounting qualification - ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or qualified by experience.
* Strong background in Accounting within the SME sector.
* Experienced working with small teams.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with non-financial stakeholders.
