Librarian – Permanent, Part Time
Osborne is partnering with the Mental Health Commission to recruit a Librarian on a Permanent, Part Time basis.
The Role
The Librarian provides key support in information management, research support, database management, archival work, and policy development.
They will engage and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders across the Mental Health Commission Divisions and external stakeholders as required.
The duties of the Librarian are varied, and the successful candidate will be required to be flexible and proactive in their engagement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage library resources (electronic databases, journals, and books)
* Update library policies and procedures as required
* Track developments and provide updates in relevant areas of law
* Promote library resources via the library newsletter, SharePoint, email, and other means
* Provide support to all Divisions with enquiries and obtain resources
* Deliver information and learning skills sessions for staff
* Manage the purchasing of key resources
* Catalogue information
* Keep up to date with relevant professional developments in the library sector
* Organise events for Library Ireland Week
* Engage with library users
* Provide monthly and quarterly reports
* Provide ongoing cost projection of journals and databases
* Participate in professional groups or networks
Essential Requirements:
* Relevant Academic or Professional Qualification
* Proven track record of managing library services
* Experience using Microsoft Office packages
