We are seeking a Global Sourcing Technical Project Manager II on a permanent basis to join us on our mission.
About this role:
The Technical Project Manager II will be responsible for the leadership of the Operations portion of new product development projects, site transfers, acquisition integrations, and other complex manufacturing project initiatives associated with Sourced Finished Medical Device (SFMD) products. Ultimately, the Project Manager is responsible for the seamless execution of these projects with cross-functional teams. This role will be both a Project Manager as well as will have management responsibility for other Global Sourcing Project Managers. These projects will occur at BSC’s external manufacturing partners.
Your Responsibilities Include:
* Lead teams consisting of BSC and SFMD Supplier resources. Effectively communicate cross-functionally and provide technical guidance to cross-functional Core Team members and Core Team Leaders as applicable.
* Supervise other External Operations Project Managers.
* Assemble the cross-functional resources required to drive project completion.
* Identify, coordinate, and ensure completion of all activities required for an assigned project or task while confirming current policies and best practices.
* Prioritize projects and activities based on business need, timing, and financial risk.
* Ensure successful execution of projects using various tool kits, work instructions, and best practices.
* Proactively identify issues that may affect quality, cost, or service levels and work with internal and/or external teams to resolve or address.
* Create project tracking plans, schedules, and risks for projects and communicate across the organization as applicable.
* Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project. Elevate issues and clear barriers to team progress to allow for project success.
* Resolve conflicts with team members and involve functional management as required to ensure timely project completion.
* Support APAC External Operations team, supporting regional projects and mentoring APAC-based project managers.
* Make presentations to upper management and key stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
* 12+ years engineering experience (manufacturing, process development or related).
* Level 8 Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering (240 credits).
* 5+ years technical project management experience.
* Strong communication skills.
* 2+ years experience working with external manufacturing partners.
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time regional and international.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Project management experience in Operations leading manufacturing transfer projects.
* Medical Device manufacturing experience including familiarity with equipment qualification and process validation.
* Familiarity with identifying, driving, and implementing continuous improvement projects.
* Supervisory experience.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards and a deep understanding of internal BSC SOPs.
