Refrigeration Technician Location: Grange Castle Duration: Permanent 39 Hours per week Overview of the role: The utilities refrigeration technician is responsible for the execution of the preventive and corrective maintenance program on the site refrigeration equipment.
Your main role is to carry servicing, trouble shooting, and maintenance of Industrial water/air cooled Chillers and various AC units.
Day to day of the role Carry out work as per schedule supplied by the Maintenance Coordinator, Planner and as per site policies, schedules and procedures.
Troubleshoot problems with utilities refrigeration equipment as necessary and as directed by site supervisors Complete site documentation before and after work tasks, as per relevant SOP.
Liaise with Contractors during planned service maintenance.
Participate in the appropriate training and ensure that ITP meets the site requirements.
Carry out Risk Assessment of Equipment Maintenance Task List steps and ensure these are always kept valid.
Update MTL's as appropriate to ensure they are always relevant to the site needs and meet findings from periodic reviews.
Carry out Periodic reviews of EWI/SOP to ensure documents are always current and valid.
All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.
Required skills for this role: You will have a Refrigeration F-GAS 2079 Certificate.
2+ Years in maintenance and troubleshooting experience of refrigeration equipment in a Pharma environment and familiar with GMP requirements.
Relevant Trade Qualification in Refrigeration, or A qualified industrial electrician which has transitioned to refrigeration Qualified to a minimum of NFQ 5 Familiar and capable of delivering Service/Maintenance and repair of Water-cooled and Air-cooled Chillers and AC Units Experience on large ton Centrifugal and Screw chillers would be a distinct advantage but training will be provided as required Have experience with major Chiller manufacturers such as York/ Sabroe/ Trane/ Carrier/ Daikin.
